Living a creative life is possible for anyone – whether you want to express yourself more fully within your current career or embark on an entirely new path. As a coach, my role is to help you not only define what you want to create in your life, but also guide you on how to make it a reality.

For over 15 years, I’ve been a full-time artist, building my career from the ground up with no mystery support system. I understand the challenges of carving out your own path and creating success on your own terms. This experience has equipped me with the tools and insights to help others do the same.

I chose to train with Animas to ensure I could coach with integrity and professionalism, and I’m now an EMCC-accredited Transformative Coach.

By helping you explore new perspectives, stay accountable, and take practical steps, we’ll work together to get you clear on what you want and move you closer to it. The goal? To help you unlock your creativity, work on your own terms, and feel truly fulfilled in what you do.

What people say

  • “Working with Jo was an inspiring and transformative experience. She created a safe and supportive environment that really  encouraged me to explore my creative goals, and to not be so hard on myself. Jo's guidance helped me gain clarity on my aspirations and provided the structure and accountability I needed to make the progress I was struggling to do on my own. Her empathetic and insightful approach made our sessions productive and enjoyable - I had several what I can only described as breakthrough moments, seeing more clearly some of the barriers that had been hindering me for the longest time, and with Jo's help I was explore workarounds that were tailored to me. I'm deeply grateful for her support and highly recommend her coaching, and look forward to working with her again.”

  • “I’ve known Jo since 2014, when I started working as her studio assistant. What began as a role focused on admin and errands gradually evolved into something much more meaningful, thanks to Jo’s patient guidance and encouragement. She taught me practical skills - from updating websites and designing documents to helping with mural painting - and more importantly, she helped me grow in confidence.

Jo has a unique ability to listen, guide, and gently challenge you to take the next step. Her support has been instrumental in my development as an independent artist, and I now operate my own studio.

Jo demonstrates excellent communication skills, maintaining professional relationships that are both effective and personable. She communicates clearly, kindly, and with purpose - balancing warmth with honesty. Her confident yet sensitive approach creates a positive working environment. Jo has helped me understand how to have conversations that are both respectful and constructive, which I now carry into my own work.

Her mentoring abilities have proven highly effective, as evidenced by my own professional growth under her guidance. I recommend Jo without reservation.”

  • “Having the opportunity to work with Jo over a couple of sessions was brilliant.  When I signed up to work with her I knew I needed to but wasn't exactly sure why.  Fast forward to just a few sessions later and I feel so different within myself - much more collected in my thoughts and certain as to my core motivations, which has had a huge impact on not only my work life but also day to day.  Thank you Jo for your support!.”

  • “Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so that they will be happier. The way is actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then, do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.”

My Coaching Method

My coaching is designed to support creatives and individuals who want to live with more purpose, clarity, and creative expression — whether that means deepening your current work, making a change, or starting something completely new.

This is a structured yet flexible process, tailored to your goals and personal circumstances.

What to Expect:

  • We start with a no-obligation call to get to know each other. This is a chance to talk about where you are now, what you're looking for, and how coaching might support you. You'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions before deciding to move forward.

    Book in your consultation

  • If we choose to work together, we’ll design a coaching plan that suits your needs. I typically work with clients over 10 sessions, but this can be adapted depending on your goals, availability, and budget. Sessions are usually held every 2–3 weeks, either online or in person (where possible).

  • We’ll begin by clarifying what you want to achieve — creatively, professionally, or personally. This might involve exploring your values, overcoming inner blocks, or gaining a clearer sense of direction.

  • Each session is designed to move you forward. We’ll explore challenges, unlock insights, and develop practical steps you can take between sessions. You'll leave with a greater sense of clarity, energy, and momentum.

  • You’ll be supported throughout the process with tools, reflection exercises, and space to think things through. I also provide email check-ins between sessions if needed, to help you stay on track and feel supported.

  • Help you reconnect with your creativity and values

  • Support you in clarifying and reaching your personal or creative goals

  • Build confidence, focus, and direction in your work or life

  • Create meaningful, sustainable change through small but powerful actions

  • Provide a safe, non-judgemental space for honest reflection and growth
